I once worked at the facility and have mixed views about this daycare. The positive is that the curriculum was pretty good. Even the children younger than preschool age were given educational activities to do that were age appropriate and helped developmental wise. The negative is that the owner/director was quite the scatter brain and didn't follow the licensing requirments (though I heard that it is a different owner now). Some of the employees were just ridiculous. A couple acted as though they were much better than the rest and made sure to irritate and annoy the others on purpose. I do know that some employees have quit since, but I am certain that one employee still works there that shouldn't be. I witnessed her pushing kids several times and verbally abusing them (these children were not at an age where they could tell their parents). It wasn't severe, but the point is that it shouldn't have happened at all. I told the owner, but it was overlooked and dusted under the rug.
Would I send my child there? Hard to say since I don't know how the present owner operates. If the curriculum/structure is the same or better, and I made sure that that certain employee I spoke of that treated the children poorly was not caring for my child, then I might consider it, but I doubt it.
Parents--a big advantage is to know somone who works at a daycare you are considering (who knows what goes on there and can confirm whether it is a good one or not) or have worked at that daycare previously. I have worked at several daycares, and I am questioning whether to send my children to daycare at all after witnessing events and employees that I am not comfortable with when it comes to the lives of children.
