Description: Almost Home Academy believes that each child is unique and learns and grows best by actively exploring their environment through play with experienced educated teachers that help facilitate interactions and explorations to enhance each child’s learning experience. We believe that each child is a member of God’s family. We strive to help develop the spiritual growth of each child by modeling manners, courtesy and respect for staff and their peers.
Children will learn through exploration of their learning environment that are developmentally appropriate for each age group. Learning centers are child-oriented to encourage a hands on approach to learning. In this, we guarantee that each child is stimulated at his/her own level of cognitive processing. We use predominately manipulative materials so that the children are actively involved in the thinking and learning processes. The process is facilitated with a professional teaching staff and low student teacher ratio.
Through the close communication and interaction between the parents, teacher and child, we will reach the primary objectives of their child developing creative cognitive skills, acceptable social /emotional behaviors, increased physical skills, an interest in language and literacy and moral responsibilities through the love of God .
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

My sister goes here and it sucks . She is constantly getting hurt and it is crazy. I wouldn’t be as mad because she is a little girl but the fact that she came home today with a broken tooth is outrages and the fact that they won’t show us the video makes me even more mad. I am hurt because if it was one of there own they would have looked out better.
My daughters attended this daycare for one day. I never brought them back again. Their first day I went to drop them off...I wasn't given a code yet so I stood in the dark entrance ringing the door bell for 10 minutes. Finally a worker came in for her shift and let me in. We were brought into a room different than what I was told and there was one teacher to about 15 kids. The teacher told me she never was given any paperwork on my kids and she was already overwhelmed as it was because the other teacher was not there yet. Because she was not given paperwork she needed my girls d.o.b so I told her them and she wrote it on her hand. I went extra early for their first day and ended up late to work.
At the end of the day I went to go pick my kids up. Once again I stood in the dark entrance (office was closed) . Someone finally saw I was there after another 10 minutes and I was let up to get my kids. My 10 year old daughter told me there were constant fist fights between the kids and tons of cussing. She said the teacher didn't address the cussing at all. She also told me that there was an older kid who wouldn't leave my little one alone. She was very uncomfortable there. Also did I mention the teachers butt was hanging out of her pants as well? Yeah..I never brought my kids back. Director didn't even follow up with me after I told her that I was pulling my kids out.
Entering and exiting the building from the street with little ones is difficult and dangerous. Inside is shabby and cramped. Teachers are nice but management is rude and the owner is very greedy. My kids were sick after spending just 2 days here. After I opted to keep them home until they got well, I was sued for $800. No wonder my kids got sick. I can't believe they profess Christian values! Never experienced so much headache, rudeness & greed.
