I honestly wish I could have given Acheivers of Excellence 0 stars . Since the end of 2021 until now has been horrible . After my daughter got out the one year old class with Ms.White which was the best and Honestly when they lost Ms.Vincent & then on to lose Ms.Howard it definitely went down. The director is unprofessional and rude . My personal opinion is that each child is a $ sign in her eyes. They will downplay every situation as if nothing happened. My kids came up with more busted lips and scrapes/cuts at that center . They lose the kids belongings and come home with unnecessary damage to their clothes that could have been prevented such as having crayola wax on their pants !! The day I learned that Ms.Howard wasn’t with them anymore my daughter already had came home and mentioned the staff were arguing amongst each other while children were in the center and using aggressive language then all of a sudden the next day she (Ms.Howard)was ghost without any heads up or anything and she definitely wasn’t the type of teacher to do such but let them tell it she was on to bigger things . They will shut the school down for shortage of staff with no 24 hour notice. The amount of lies this school tell is horrible . They are definitely untrustworthy !! For example they shut the school down saying it was due to the kids having Covid … NO they shut it down because the cafeteria lady had Covid but failed to properly disclose that information. The rumors you hear about this school are crazy especially when it come to students safety and well being but everyone says she doesn’t report anything even when it comes to a child’s well being even if it’s knowingly a concern because she doesn’t want lose the money. I should have listened to all whom told me the stories in the beginning… especially when I heard about to kid wondering off from the school smh … these past 3 months my baby has had 2-3 teachers .. today was their last day because I learned the director wanted to end their care today without giving me any notice !! How inconsiderate and careless not that it matters though right ! Also I just started potty training my daughter two days ago … I bought her my little pony pull ups that I HAVE NEVER SENT TO THE SCHOOL … as a matter of fact IVE NEVER SENT PULL UPS TO HER SCHOOL!! Only luv diapers … this morning I put her on a pull-up and after learning the director wanted to end my care today I left work and went to pick them up immediately because why would I leave my kids somewhere unwanted as I see it … mind you I get there around 2:20 pm I ran to the store and got home .. got my kids out the car and I could smell a loud Oder coming from my 2 years old ..WHY DID SHE HAVE THE SAME DIAPER I DROPPED HER OFF IN WHICH WAS AT 9 this morning …. I’m beyond furious and saddened I never would have thought this school was like this because they come off so different and loving in the beginning…not to mention the new 2 year old teacher sent a report home stating “ Ayana has been crying A LOT nere recently. There has-also been times she has rolled her eyes and hit me when I tell her that's not okay, she will laugh… ARE U SERIOUS ? She just turned two .. what do you possibly want me to do punish her ? That’s crazy ..I need to see credentials and continuing education courses as they should have a discipline flow chart and for a 2 year old it should stress POSITIVE reinforcement. In other words if she's upset about something, then distract her from what is upsetting her with a positive activity that she enjoys … I wasn’t even intending on leaving a long review as this but that concludes it . 1
Professional and thorough
Very clean and professional environment. Children were happy and also well supervised. Staff was also organized and attentive.
I enrolled my daughter at this academy since she was 2 years old. They have done a tremendous job with her as she enters Kinder this year. Their Montessori teachers have taught her academic and life skills that are beyond expectations. Mrs. Thornton, and her team are loving, caring and trustworthy. I highly recommend this place to other parents in need of this type of service
The care that is provided to these children is exceptional. I’ve observed the interaction with teachers, staff and children and they are very compassionate. It seems as if this academy is family-oriented and focused on the well-being of the children. I recommend this facility to persons who want their children not only to learn but to be nurtured by those who love and care for children.
My son attended this facility for more than 6 months. We had to remove him due to Covid. While he was there I noticed how happy he would be would I would do the “mommy pop up” I never seen anything that would bring concerns, just smiles on the children’s faces along with the care providers. Those women are. AWESOME! They are friendly, helpful and love the kids like their own.
I have worked in partnership with Achievers of Excellence learning Academy on two occasions. They give back to the community annually supporting family’s in need with a back drive as well as make sure they have the best staff that will love guide and Develop the children into respectable ready and willing to learn children they have a dress for success day that is totally awesome where they kids dress in professional attire and the curriculum is one that’s advancing and gets them ready for school I would recommend this school to everyone near by it’s a safe loving productive space for your child to be.
I’m happy with my experience with this facility. They provided my child with a nourishing and productive environment.
Please do not enroll your children here the teacher Ms. Sanders grabbed my son by the neck and threw him against the wall and the director Georgia Thornton did nothing about until I decided to take matters into my own hands. AND IT WAS ALL ON CAMERA! They do not genuinely care about the kids there. They have people who are unqualified working there.
Great School they forces on learning they teach our children while we are at work, my son has changed in a very good way telling me that he loves to learn and read and write those are things my son has learn, hes been to different schools so to hear him say good things let me know he's at the right place.
Overall the experience we had there was ok but the infant room needs a little more improvement. We are very disappointed that we had remove our child from this facility due to concerns we had but we as concerned parents had to do what we had to do for the safety of our child.
