I previously worked at this center and unfortunately saw a whole world of problems behind the scenes. The center has values that are not followed as I have witnessed improper treatment towards the children and find that it is a common trend. It is unfortunate that these children must endure the constant chaos of changing schedules, hectic play areas, and an overall lack of communication and guidance between teachers and admin. This is not the place for your child to grow and prosper. Please consider finding a different center. I am concerned for the safety of the children as they do not have the staff or resources to provide proper care. The owner has a kind heart but is lacking in the man-power to properly run this center.

I am an employee

While the facility is beautiful, the reality of what goes on inside is far from it. Academy of Little Vikings is a revolving door of teachers who come in with high hopes and are ultimately driven out by the administration's unprofessional and often hostile management style. Classrooms are most often overflowing and licensing guidelines are rarely followed. Teachers are pressured to offer quality, engaging programming, yet the administration refuses to provide adequate materials to that end. Empty promises of raises and promotions are made to staff to make them stay, which ultimately ends up with disappointment and frustration. I've personally seen many passionate teachers who love their jobs and their students get burned out from the stresses of teaching under such poor management, and tragically, the kids pay the price.

I am a former employee at Little Vikings. I, along with COUNTLESS other employees, have decided to resign and find another job. The staff at Little Vikings are treated horribly and therefore there are new teachers in and out of there constantly. This creates inconsistency for the children which can cause horrible behavior problems not only in the center, but also at home. There is inadequate space for the children outside of the center and although there is a promise to attend the park multiple times a day, it does not always happen. Parents are beginning to pull their children out of the center and place them in other childcare centers. The attitude that is put in the employees' heads about state licensing is that they are the enemy. That is not true. State licensing is there to assure that families' voices are heard and to make sure the children are being well taken care of. They are not the enemy and the fact that we are supposed to look at them as the enemy is mind-blowing and horrible. Employees are afraid to quit their job because of what Brenda has done in the past to people who say they are quitting. Please do not enroll your child in ALV if you care about the staff and your children.
