I have used this provider for less than 6 months

First let me start my saying i can’t speak for any other age group at the day care but i can definitely speak for the infant room. This was the WORST daycare i could have ever sent my son to for the following reasons:
1. You will never have an opportunity to speak to the teachers your child is with everyday, we were told it was due to Covid reasons even up to Aug 2022. All of Our were only interactions through the director Angela Lapee.
2. Every time i would stop by the daycare and look through the glass window my son was always in the jumper, never ANYTHING ELSE!
3. One day my husband was picking up my son the young lady at the door saw fit to ask him his ethnicity while flirting and giggling and called other women from the daycare to attempt to have that discussion with him. There were also several other instances where race and ethnicity was brought up when voicing our concerns as parents, Very unprofessional!
4. They give you daily sheets that are supposed to detail what your child does daily. They rarely completely filled it out so we never knew how much my son was actually eating or napping or interacting or anything for that matter. We brought the issue to the director Angela several times, it would change for one day and then go back to not being accurately filled out. My last time asking her her response was “oh my you guys are killing me, we are busy.” So ultimately they wanted us to be okay with the fact for 10-12 hours a day we had no idea what our infant did. Angela stated to me that because i was a “first time parent” that’s the only reason i cared so much.
5. My husband and I are both dual military i was on maternity leave for several months then i finally returned to work PT included. Their hours are from 6am-6pm. I would drop my son off at 6 to attempt to make it to PT at 6:30 and at 6:05 young ladies would be walking in opening the day care on several occasions causing me to be late.
6. Once my son started going in at 6am he would be picked up between 5-5:30pm. One day my husband was picking my son up and one of the young ladies said to him “he can’t be here more than 10 hours” that same day i came in to see the director because that was never told to me nor did i sign any documentation that stated that. She said to me “oh yeah, it’s a policy i can’t remember exactly what it states but it has something to do with 10 hours a day and if i wanted him to be here longer they would charge me more and that it was in the handbook.” I read the entire handbook several times and that was never stated in it. She stated that she knows it’s a crazy policy but charging more is how the owner tried to take advantage of military because she knows they will pay it. I told her that if i knew this was the case earlier then i would have know that this daycare wouldn’t work out for me based on my family being dual military. Angela stated she reached out the the owners in regard to the situation and would follow up with me.
7. Because they were yet to produce a policy to me that stated the 10 hours i continued to drop my son off during my work hours. One day Angela invited me in and stated she’d never dealt with dual military before with that schedule which i found hard to believe, then switched it and Said she has before and if she could write me a letter because that’s what she did for her other dual military parents. I told her that probably would not work but she could write it. It was never given to me!
8. One day i was picking up my son and another service member that i work with was picking up his daughter at the same time and Angela realized that we knew each other. The following day Angela decides to ask that other service member if my schedule was truly what i said it was, which he agreed that it was. That was my final straw because how dare the director of a facility that i paid weekly go to validate what i said to her by asking another parent.
9. The following morning i confronted Angela Lapee and she admitted that she asked the other parent because she “wanted to make sure” and that after she spoke to the other parent she reached out to the owners even about my situation even though she had told me she reached out to them previously. At this time i confronted Angela about the several lies that she had told me and my husband one of the biggest being the 10 hour issues. She stated to me that she knew that the documentation that i signed did not say that but someone may have just printed the wrong handbook for me and she had no documentation handy that had the actually 10 hour policy in it.

After several interactions with Angela to help address our concerns we ended up taking our child out of the day care that same week. If you are military please do not ever put your child here, based on multiple interactions with the director they do not cater to military. From the day our son went we never had an issue with payment, we never were belligerent even when constantly lied to and disrespected and concerned parents They run a Terrible business and i would never recommend to anyone.

Too big! Nov 04, 2014

I was happy with this this daycare center at first but it became way too big and entirely too many kids for the number of daycare workers. It looks like a daycare factory with total chaos inside. My daughter was coming home dirty and the playground is ugly with sand and gravel that my daughter would be covered in at the end of the day. I'm not even sure if the caretakers knew my daughters name toward the end before I moved her.
