Sheridan Montessori

The Sheridan Montessori School educates its students through the Montessori approach, which aims to develop the child’s total personality and all their faculties: their mind, their senses, and their character. It is a unique and comprehensive method of education that was tested and developed by Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician and child psychologist whose ideas on child learning were based on over 40 years of observing and working with children. The Montessori Method embodies a belief in the child’s need for freedom in learning if their intellectual, moral, social and spiritual development is to flourish. The Sheridan Montessori school provides them that freedom in an environment that allows them to choose their learning activities spontaneously without causing inconvenience to others sharing the same environment. Our school setting allows the child to acquire confidence in achievement, discover and develop their talents and interests, and experience the joys of learning at an early age.
