Description: Our goal is to provide a high quality early childhood education program where the “stars” who are employed by Sheldon ISD will be able to bring their “brightest stars”, knowing that their child will be close by and engaged in a learning program that supports each child's developmental needs. At Sheldon ISD we are committed to providing the best educational environment for our students and teachers. It is our goal to support employees as they grow in their personal and professional life. Employees will have peace of mind knowing that their child is being inspired to be a lifelong learner in the same way students in our community schools are. As an employer, Sheldon ISD knows that employees need to grow ... and so do their children! Stop by for a tour. We would love for you to see how wonderful our program is. We are located in the new Sheldon Early Childhood Academy building, 17010 Beaumont Hwy, Houston, TX 77049

They only get a 1 star because you don't have a choice of 0. My grandchild was bused 15 miles one way to this school. She was almost out of there before we finally got an ARD meeting on her to have her declared special ed. Sherry Anderson and Mrs. Turner told us we were having and ARD meeting when it was not. There was no advocate there. Mrs Turner also blatantly lied about a conversation we had regarding my granddaughter. If my daughter got sick or caught in traffic and missed picking her up on the bus, they suspended her from the bus and my daughter did not have a car that would make a 60 mile a day trip. They did not care and Mr. Webster told her to hire someone. Her husband is on disability. She had behavior problems and they complained about them. My daughter took her to several doctors and therapist to get the medication adjusted and they turned her into CPS and stated she was drugging her. they also filed a lawsuit on her for not sending her to school. She had all the dr. excuses and delivered it to them in person. They denied it and said they could not find it. In court, the case was dismissed when my daughter brought all the excuses again. Make sure they sign the original that you keep so they can't do this to you. I would think twice about moving in this area unless you have the money for a private school especially if your child is special ed. You better record anything they tell you because they like to make up the rules as they go. And if you really need to talk to someone in administration, Dr. Giles, Kelly Sebastian, Mr. Webster take a number, stand in line between social events and expect them to say there is nothing they can do (if they actually return your call). Do not expect the correct information
The program is for children and grandchildren of employees of Sheldon ISD. My 16 month old daughter started there this year. Both my wife and I have been absolutely ecstatic with the job they have done, not only taking care of our daughter but educating her as well. It seems that every week she is learning new sign language or developing some new skill. The class room teachers have been amazing for both my child and myself. They are always happy to share their thoughts and experiences about your children. Every day they make sure to write down little comments about something special the child did as well as they constantly take photos of what the kids do all day.
