HORRIBLE DAYCARE!!!
I had my son on multiple waiting lists for several daycares. My mother called me and told me about Raguet Child Care and said they might have a spot for him. I called and put him on that waiting list as well due to them telling me they had no spots available. The called me back within five minutes and said they actually have a spot available. I immediately went to fill out the paperwork and paid the deposit the same day but set his start date for a week later. My mother paid his actual bill a few days later. On his first day, I called to confirm a question about bottles and the Assistant Director/Manager says “We don’t have any availability. I don’t know why they even took your money.” Then she called me back to say he could come. After dropping him off she stops me at the door to say they are missing the deposit and my mother would pay it when she picks him up. I told her I already paid the deposit and she argued with me that I didn’t until another employee had to tell and show her that I did. THE FIRST DAY!!
Throughout the four months he was there they have called me every other day telling me to come get him even for the smallest things like bottles. His father forgot to shake his bottles until the formula was dissolved completely and they said he needs to be picked up cause we can’t feed him. Every time they call they end everything with “Or come get him.” Not just for emergencies. They had me take him to the ER twice saying he can’t come back without a doctors note and I did that with no problem but they will still send him home every other day regardless of the doctors notes. My son has asthma and they use that as an excuse to keep sending him home. So to avoid missing so much work we came to an agreement that I could come give him a breathing treatment instead of always picking him up and it worked for about a week.
On his last day, the owner calls me and says he’s having trouble breathing so he needs to be picked up. I told her I can’t come get him but I can come give him a breathing treatment. She snaps no he needs to be picked up. When I got there I asked her if my son was the only child that has asthma. She responded he is the only baby that’s breathing hard. I asked why couldn’t I just give him a breathing treatment like I was told I could and have been doing. She says she had no knowledge of that agreement but she’s seen me and his father come in with the nebulizer and set up the treatment in their break room WHICH IS RIGHT NEXT TO HER OFFICE at least twice. And a nebulizer is not quiet at all. Then holds up her hand and says “I’m not arguing with you. And if it’s a problem then….” She didn’t finish because I basically cut her off saying “It’s no problem but I can’t have y’all making a habit of calling me to get him every day like y’all did two or three weeks ago. Why can’t I just give him a breathing treatment?” She says “Cause it’s not working.” I asked “How is it not working when I haven’t even given the treatment to him yet?” “Can you get a doctors note?” is what she asked and I responded “I gave y’all two and you still him home regardless of the notes.”. “Well you can unenroll him today.”
The caregivers in the rooms with the children are sweet, wonderful, and caring but the Owner and Assistant Director in the front office are very sarcastic, unprofessional, unorganized, rude, money hungry, and don’t communicate with each other. They don’t care about actually doing what they’re paid to do. As long as they get paid that’s all that matters.
Do not recommend AT ALL!!!
