Description: The philosophy and methodology of LLC evolved from Dr. Gibson's experiences from almost 28 years of experience working with children and families in public and private schools. Dr. Gibson has owned two schools prior to LLC and developed a fourth school, Clay Academy, for Bishop T.D. Jakes in Dallas, Texas. She taught courses at Texas A&M University beginning in 1991 that specialized in reading, assessment, and behavioral management until May 2001. Dr. Gibson works with the Texas Education Agency, Statewide Initiatives, and the Educational Service Centers in Texas as a trainer and author of training materials. The philosophy at LLC is simple. We use “what works with kids†and fully understand the need for flexibility in expectations and performance, and the need for systematic order in the environments for young children. Just like adults, they like to know what is expected of them. Also, they need and want consistent follow through. That is “fairness†at this age.
