Children and their learning process are very complex. I believe that there is no one method for teaching that fits all situations or all children. On this basis, I assume that a variety of approaches attentively geared for both the content to be learned and individual is the best way to structure a learning program. Hands on learning activities will work well with many children and with a number of content areas. A discovery approach in which a simple question may be asked to help the child key in and discover perhaps with other children helping. I guide my children in problem- solving to find a range of solutions to various problems, then set up experiences for them to transfer their new skill to similar but different situations. For that reason I believe that the learning environment is not limited to the "Class room" and what I can always control but rather is made up of the tools of learning, including social contact. A more natural learning situation is established with using the child centered approach. I also believe that learning should be enjoyable and creating a love for learning is probably one of the most important things I can help children achieve.
