We promote an environment that supports a natural learning process and that fosters confidence by allowing each child to use his/her unique learning style to develop individual strengths. My son attended this preschool when he was three and had a pretty good experience. The trouble began when he turned four and started exhibiting a learning disability that prevented him from communicating on the same level as other children. This was frustrating for him so he started acting out. He would push, kick, bite, and make big messes. This school didn’t try but maybe three weeks to “work” with him. They even isolated him from the classroom and they even proposed continuing this. It seemed they didn’t hire teachers with any training in children with any type of atypical behavior. He was asked to leave. Imagine trying to explain to your four year old why he’s not going to school. He didn’t act this way at home. They made him out to be a bad child. They reported every minor thing. An example, he had a report for knocking over another child’s blocks! That’s typical stuff for kids. Try teaching them how to play and social skills. Another big thing is that they never let you drop your child off at carpool. Most preschools will have a carpool area where the child gets out and with supervision, walks in alone. This school makes you walk your child to their class every day. It’s very odd. I’d suggest Highland Presbyterian Weekday School or St. Francis. Our other two children attended those and they were amazing. They worked with all children, including ones with disabilities.
