Terrible facility. We enrolled my son there and he was there for about six months until we found a better place to go. He is 18 months old now. When I dropped him off in the morning, Dana would scold him for crying and waking up her grandbaby. I would get no assistance in dropping him off, resulting in being late for work. They complained about every single pair of shoes we had for him. They were tennis shoes and the daycare workers couldn't manage that he kept taking them off. He was one! He came home in different kids socks. It is a revolving door for young, inexperienced kids to watch other peoples children. They would supply enough food. My son would come home starving and fussy because he was so hungry. They would call once a week stating that he had a fever and we would rush to get him and get him in the doctors to find out he did not have a fever. He would come home with a dirty face every single day, nobody could tend to his face and clean it up a bit. Now, after requesting a policy book and never receiving it, they are sending threatening letters to the house stating we owe them a two week notice. The two week notice was written in his book, which they are claiming is not good enough. When I called to discuss this matter with them, Dana Bixler hung up on me. Never once have they asked why we left, they do not care about their facility. All they care about are payments so Dana can make sure to make her Hummer payments I guess. My son is at a new daycare and absolutely loves it. He never cries when I drop him off. He comes home with a clean face and isn't starving.
WOW! Donald Childers, sounds like you had an experience. However it is extremely helpful to everyone if you told the truth about your experience and did not lie. The Bullitt County OVEC Program is designed for children that are unfortunate and have learning disabilities. Yes my child did attend there because she had a disability. It was wonderful and if I'm not mistaking your son also attended there. My programs are great for every child and we are well structured center. The children have a schedule that is followed daily and yes tuition has to be paid on time. Just because you did not want to pay tuition, does not give you the right to slander my family or the center. We are a great family ran center and have many positive references.
I have two children that have attended after school care. One went to St.Rita daycare an other went to OVC Headstart, bkth where wonderful! Staff was always nice helpful, my kids loved the teachers, an it was always clean. The notebook learning center is away different story. The main director of the school is a non helpful money grubbing woman who seems to care more about her payments then the children, her own kids don't go there they go to OVC Headstart. (Should been my first clue) second if u want your kid to lean or advance in anyway this place is not for u, not only did my son come home acting like he was a zoo. Animal after the second week he never enjoyed the class. Please if u have other options use them first STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE!!!!!!
