I found this daycare by luck. As a new mother I was afforded the opportunity to originally return to work with my child. I soon realized how important it is as a mother to allow my child to progress without me there by her side all day.
I was hesitant and anxious to put my daughter in daycare as I had heard so many horror stories from friends with children. I knew all of what I did not want in a day care but the bottom line was I wanted a safe place where I knew my child was loved and cared for.
When I found 4-Kids daycare it was by way of a girlfriend. I attended a gathering in the home for a baby shower and fell in love.
4-Kids is immaculate, it’s clean and set up for children in every way possible. I enrolled my daughter the next week. When she first started going there she was not even crawling yet. Now she has been there 8 months, she walks, she eats with a spoon, and she plays with other children well. She is excited when we hit the gate in the morning and has no hesitation to say good bye to me when I leave to work.
Linda is firm in her methods with the children. I see her structure and I try to emulate the same at home. She keeps the children on a schedule, she does educational pieces with the children, and she loves them and disciplines them.
I know that as a mother I can leave and go to work and not have to think or worry about my daughter all day because I trust whole heartedly that she is in good hands.
I cannot say enough good things about this daycare. I commute completely out of the way to take my child here and it is worth every bit of it.
I don’t think I could ever show Linda how much I appreciate what she does for my child and my family. Not only does she support my daughter and her growth and progress but she supports me as a 1st time mother, what has worked for her and what I can do to support my child. I follow Linda's direction because I believe in what she does for these children as a provider.
Recently I watched her go through an intensive potty training with the older children. She is committed and works her butt off to get the children to where they need to be for their age. The dedication I see her out into her relationship with the children is more than beautiful it is amazing.
I would recommend Linda to anyone I know. I will not be pulling my child from 4-Kids to go to preschool; she will stay with Linda until Kindergarten.
I adore Linda as a woman and as a provider for my child; I am more than blessed to have her in my life, my daughter’s life and as a huge part of my family and its growth.
My 2 year old son currently attends 4-kids Family Day Care. I was a new mom and didn't know much about what to look for. Now that he's there, I know exactly what I like and don't like. Linda is a wonderful day care facilitator. She is a disciplinarian with the kids and with parents. The structure she provides helps children and parents adapt to a new environment. From there, the children can grow, learn and play in an environment that is safe and very family friendly.
The outdoor play area fits the needs of little ones first learning to walk, as well as those approaching their preschool years. My son loves to play with the wide array of toy cars, slides, activities, and swing. There's nothing better than walking up to their little welcome gate and having the children rush up to see who's there.
It's a very warm family environment and I feel that my son is very nurtured and safe there.
4 Kids is a wonderful daycare. Linda who runs the home daycare is very wonderful with the children. There is always a lot of love and the kids think of her as another mom. My 4 year old went there between the ages of 1 and 3 years and now my youngest who is 20 months goes there. My 4 year old still loves to drop in to see Linda and play with her toys when we pick up his little brother.
The place is very clean and well kept. We like the large backyard with all of the play toys, it's great for warm weather days. I never worry about the kids being couped up inside with nowhere to go when it's nice out.
Linda is easy to get along with and good at structuring the kids day so that they know what to expect. She did a great job helping us potty train our first boy as well as getting him to sleep on a nap space when he was old enough to. She just has a way with kids.
She also has an open door policy where you can come by anytime unannounced which is comforting to me because I've heard so many stories about home daycares that won't let you come in, they meet you at the door for drop-off and pick-up but you can't see what's going on inside.
I would highly recommend this place for your children from 0-3 years. There is no structured learning like a preschool but definitely lots of play and hugs. Generally Linda recommends the kids go to a structured preschool once they reach 3 years or so since she doesn't offer a structured preschool program.
