Think twice and consider a Nanny at your home. I have worked as a nanny. I had 2 different girlffriends that are working as nannies, very happy& make more money n enjoy children n their work n the parents of child. The admini, could not even send me a quick text ,e mail, or any form o f answer, on getting a simple 1, or 2, interv. I decided to without a response repy, I accept a nanny offer, n an administrative assistant job. Plus they have one teacher there tha t has too ,way too loud voice, she yells & is mea n I wouldn't want to pay the preschool, n have my kids 1 to 8 hours in this preschool. I did pay the going rate. I n my time I p aid for 1 daughter to attend from 4 - 5; then my son to go from4-5, I was aware I could have 3 times a week or no, 4 d's a week teach my kids. numbers letters, colors, reading, reading to both, story books, games in learning, exercise time for 2 hours ,I took my kids I was a nanny for. And my kids had, an hour at their preschool. 2days is completely enough. I will say the Young man, at the receptionist desk, had, has, manners, he is a positive young adult, who put me at ease, I was comfortable n smiled when I walked in n applied. One mature, teacher was very nice n spoke to me about the school, n job, not much. This isn't an elementary, where they all have to keep track of grades Kindergarten, 1st, they 5th. Gym, Art,Music,Math, Reading,Science,Social Studies(History, Algebra, Band!!. Those classes I 've named are all the classes my kids did excel at Memorial Elementary in the Forest Hills area across n diagonal from Mapleside. I wish all parents great luck. In choosing a preschool, n ALL BRUNSWICKS ELEMENTARY SCHOOLS ARE FOUR STAR OUT OF FOUR, N KEPT AS CLEAN AS POSSIBLE, I LOVED N LIKED EVERY TEACHER & FOR BAND ,GYM, N MUSIC ARE ALL PHENOMINAL. I VOLUNTEERED in most holiday parties, for Halloween, we had some of Greatest staff. Gott continue moving forward!!
I moved to Brunswick in January 2017 and finding, not only affordable childcare but care that does make you question whether or not you should leave your child there, is hard to find. 1st Friends was the last place I visited in 2017 and I expected to be disappointed. Much to my surprise, it is the best facility I went to that day. It's reasonably priced, it smells great when you walk in the door. That's a major determining factor for me-how it smells. The staff and owner have become part of my family. The owner and director, I consider them friends and they really try to work with people to help meet their needs for childcare. I highly recommend this daycare facility to parents of Applewood children.
My daughter recently started going to 1st Friends Learning Academy. She is in the preschool program. From the moment we met the owner and staff we felt nothing but love for the children they have and very welcome! We love how they think of the children as their own while us parents aren't able to be there! When we went to the preschool orientation they were very detailed and left us with no confusion. We felt confident that our child was going to learn so much and have so much fun here. Since then we have been right! When we first came to class my daughter was having some seperation anxiety and the teachers and owner (Mrs. C, Mrs. Murphy, Mrs. Dautel and Miss.Tay Tay) were all right there and ready to help to make sure that she felt comfortable and loved as i left. They updated me and made sure i knew how well she was doing shortly after leaving! When i picked her up she was so excited to tell me all that she did in the 3 hours she was there! The curriculum is amazing and i love how they put together so many great fun learning activities throughout the day!The center is also very very clean and well organized! I cannot say enough good things about this center and their staff! So happy we chose to take our daughter here!
