I have used this provider for more than 6 months
I feel the responsibility to report. I addressed my concerned to the provider and was not cooperative. Please see below.
My complaint is that the facility did not follow rules in regards to the contract.
1- There were no indication of any substitute plan nor did not include any required information about designated substitute in case of illness nor emergency that may arises. There were two other people supervising the children in the facility to which I am unaware there were screened or CPR approved while the daycare personnel was sick. Substitutes were not in the contract and do not have a written plan to provide substitute on a temporary or emergency basis.
2- There were no records of keeping daily attendance for parents to sign children in/out daily.
3- The daycare provider failed to notify me immediately of any accidents or injuries and there were no regular daily incidents reports for when my child was injured/hurt. There have been numerous occasions that incidents occurred but reports were not created. There were only 1 filed after I mentioned it throughout the entire enrollment of my child.
4- Violate privacy policy in discussing my child’s well-being while other parents and children are present which cause my son to be humiliated. This should be addressed privately.
5- Inadequately communicate with me in regards to injuries unless mentioned after seeing my child with bruises and cuts.
6- A hazard was observed in the outdoor play areas that possess a threat to safety of my son. The outdoor equipment slide had hole, brokers and sharp edges that can injure my child. The play equipment was not safe as it might have injured my child. Trampoline in the outdoor areas are being used with larger children with smaller children including my child.
7- Children had access to a water hazard (hot tub) that can potentially cause children to accidentally drown, which was not mentioned in the contract.
8- Potable drinking water was not available to children at all times. Bottles and sippy cups were not returned daily to us nor was it labeled with the children’s names. A re-usable plastic cups were used from her kitchen.
9- A pest/cockroach was found in the play area/ nap area. My child discovered it.
10 the daycare owner is unprofessional as she humiliate parents and my child in front of other parents.
