Description: Mary Pacini - Provider Hello, and thank you for considering me as your child care provider! Caring for children is my passion and I have been working with them for the past 14 years. I started my career as a preschool teacher's aid when I was 16 years old. After two years, I was promoted to lead teacher and worked for another five years in in the child care center environment. During this time I played, hugged, explored with, and lesson planned for all ages ranging from one month to five years old. I also attended Mesa State College (now CMU) where I earned my Bachelors degree in Elementary Education. After earning my degree, I taught kindergarten and first grade at Ridgway Elementary for three years. Then I had the amazing opportunity to live in Spain where I worked as a nanny and cared for children while instructing them in English. I also took this opportunity to improve my knowledge of the Spanish language and to learn about the educational system in Spain as I worked with the English teacher at a local elementary school. I moved back to Grand Junction in 2011 and taught third grade at Rocky Mountain Elementary for one year and third grade at Independence Academy for two years. After being blessed with a baby of my own, I made the decision to return to early childcare. I have since been blessed with another baby, and will be raising my own children in Setting Sail Childcare. I'm committed to creating a safe and loving home-like environment with numerous opportunities to explore, learn, interact, and grow.

Mary has taken care of my children for the last 2 1/2 years and I cannot emphasize enough how wonderful my experience with her has been. Her home is safe, clean, and positive. She has fostered in my children the same values I encourage in my own household (ie. kindness, friendship, love of learning, imaginative play). Best of all, my children feel like part of her wonderful family and are happy every day when I pick them up from her care.
