Description: Pillow Preschool works a positive learning environment in all aspects. Our preschool goal is: learn through play and discovery, and use various mediums with an age appropriate curriculum. At Pillow Preschool, our objective is to set the stage for the child in an indoor-outdoor environment. We emphasize on the emotional, social, physical and cogitative development of young children. Pillow Preschool strives to continuously develop, refine and deploy an educational program that provides a strong foundation for your children to reach their highest possible potential in the future. The teacher challenges and reinforces the spontaneous development of each child capacities toward the habit of creative independent thinking, a positive self-image, attitudes of social cooperation and moral responsibility, knowledge and appreciation of people, things and events in today’s environment, and basic academic skills of reading, writing and arithmetic. Teachers and staff at Pillow Preschool are selected on the basis of their education, professional training, experience, caring, and their compassionate way with children. Our staffs continue to improve their knowledge of child development through courses, teacher workshops, and regular classes in pediatric CPR and First Aid.

Connect, Seek Advice, Share Knowledge
Please do your research on any daycare provider before enrolling your child. Below is a little background along with my review on Harvard Preschool (formerly Pillow Preschool)
Background: my daughters daycare of 3 years closed. I sent her to a recommended school but it seemed to institutional so I withdrew her a few months later. I had seen signs for Pillow Preschool everyday for years but paid no attention because my daughter was at such a great home daycare. The time came when I needed to find another daycare and so I went to Pillow Preschool. I went for a tour and loved the facility and the Director reminded me of my daughters 1st daycare provider. She seemed nice, welcoming, kinda like family... We decided to enroll my daughter the following month.
Fast forward: my now 4 year old daughter attended this preschool for 6 months and during that time her behavior drastically changed for the worst. She regressed and started biting her nails all the time and constantly threw tantrums. She became angry, cried a lot and was constantly disobedient. She's has been out of that school for about 3 weeks and the nail biting has ceased and her nails have completely grown back. Her behavior has improved and the tantrums are practically nonexistent. She is very good at verbally expressing her emotions, thoughts and feelings.
Every parent will have a different experience but due to my personal experience and expectations of a preschool, I would definitely NOT recommend this preschool to any parent looking for more than just a baby sitter.
Below are a few of my PROS and CONS for this preschool.
PROS:
*Tuition: $800 for full-time (ability to pay weekly, bi-weekly or monthly)
*Clean
*Hours of operation are great (6:15a-6:00p)
*Breakfast and lunch are provided
*Celebrates birthdays & holidays.
CONS:
*Staff are unqualified and not nurturing. (A provider laughed at my daughter once when she fell and bumped her head.)
*Curriculum is not challenging nor stimulating (the 3 y.o class sang their ABCs during open house. The work being brought home consists of coloring and tracing of letters from worksheets and very few projects.)
*Children did not go outside everyday (even on dry, sunny days)
*Children are grouped based on age and not ability. (My daughter could have been placed in the pre-k class and kept up instead she remained with the 3 year olds because she was 3 when she started)
*Poor communicators.
I could go on for days but I'll stop here. Feel free to message me if you have any questions.
