Answers to Disgusted Mom accusations. Yes there was a full DCF investigation and there were “No Findings” about the this incident back in 2016. Since the incident in 2016, all said employees, no longer work for Noah’s Ark Preschool. Please come in and see for yourself, meet the Director, teachers, and see how happy the children are. Please do not let 1 person misrepresent what a wonderful preschool we have.
I had both my girls go through this school, we had a wonderful time with loving hearts. Thank goodness that it is under new administration and that te old Lady has left the building.. the staff seems to much happier now then ever before
Now that the investigation has come to an end, I'm able to warn each and every one of you (and your friends). For nearly a year I sent (my child) to Noahs Ark daycare (at Grace Lutheran church on Neptune and Ocean shore), feeling confident that their long standing history in the community made it a safe place to send her...I couldn't have been more wrong. While there were teachers there that we loved, it proved to be the exact opposite of the warm loving environment I thought I had placed my child in. I noticed several changes in my daughter and her behavior over the past few months including not wanting to go to school, but chalked them all up to a fazes... Kids want to be with mommy, right? (Insert extreme mommy guilt for not paying more attention to her cues). To make a long story short, (my child) was being hit by one of her teachers. A teacher, Kimmy, who had already been accused of abuse on a child at the school nearly a year prior and was allowed to continue "caring" for children with little more than a slap on the wrist and a warning. The director, Sue, chose not to follow protocol for reporting that incident leaving no investigation to follow. This "teacher" Kimmy, openly admitted to the detective and DCF agent that she was verbally abusive to children, and guess what?... Noah's Ark is continuing to allow this woman to care for children! The director, being fully aware of this potentially dangerous woman, is just as dangerous as Kimmy, as she allows this abuse to continue under her direction. After opening an investigation myself since the director chose not to, the daycare is being fined $1000 for 2 counts of not reporting abuse, and charges are pending against the teacher. But to me, this isn't enough, I can't believe the system has failed so monumentally. I obviously removed (my child) from that school, but It is my hope that by sharing what happened to us and spreading the word that parents will remove their children from the dangerous situation they are in at that school.
