The mission of Nation’s Capital Child and Family Development, NCCFD, is to provide quality early care and education services to children 6 weeks to 5 years of age, their families, and the community. We are a nationally accredited program that provides high quality, early childhood development services to children 6 weeks to 5 years of age at the Carver Terrace Early Child Development Center located at 2229 M Street, NE in ward 5. The 12,000 square foot facility has the capacity for 100 children and operates 11 hours per day. We offer a nurturing and safe environment for children with a structured curriculum, qualified and experienced teachers, a year -round program and nutritious meals.
In it’s long history, NCCFD has received many ackolades and awards, including recognition from local and national funders. NCCFD is accredited by the Council on Accreditation and is a Gold Tier service provider for the Office of the State Superintendent of Education (OSSE), Early Care and Education Administration.
NCCFD offers:
- Structured learning (Creative Curriculum)
- Year-round program that operates 11 hours per day (7:00 AM – 6:00 PM)
- Nutritious meals (breakfast, lunch and snack)
