Description: The faculty of Medina Elementary School believes that education should assist the individual in developing self-reliance, self-understanding, and interest in individual achievement. The acquisition of basic skills in reading, language arts, and mathematics should promote the development of critical thinking. Science and Social Studies should supplement this development. Creative thinking should be encouraged in all areas of instruction. Development of unique qualities of creative thinking should be encouraged through the fine arts program. The school should utilize the services of parents and organizations within the community to enhance the total learning environment of students.
