Concerned parent Apr 23, 2023
I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Allegedly stole holiday bonuses that parents gave her staff and did not have enough staff for the children in her care. Very manipulative.

ELLA MARKOFF Jul 23, 2014

I am a grandmother who has been affected by unreliable and unprofessional business of Ms .Marina Davis. After her cutting off my grandson from the Russian Summer camp "Palitra" I began to take care of him Monday to Friday: pick up at 3:00 pm from MC school camp, bring him home, feed him, making some home assessment with him and caring with other needs. It took me a couple of weeks to make clear for him that the Russian summer camp scheduled by Marina Davis couldn't take place not because my grandson eats for 3 kids instead of 1 as she told him but because Ms. Marina Davis sees money before she can see kids to whom she took obligation to. It's simply can not be expected for any one who pretends to make business with kids. I strongly believe that this kind of an introduction to my Russian root just not only disappointed me and my grandson's international family but mostly ruined my grandson's faith in many good things we left in Russia and specifically Russian Kids Education and culture.
I do not recommend anybody who loves his or her kid to open a door to Ms. Marina Davis business because your kid can hurt like my grandson. Almost twenty years ago I came to live hear from St,.Petersburg ( Leningrad) and I still being very proud of my Russian background with high culture and education for kids that we still looking for here but not what we meat at Ms. Marina Davis kids business.

Truly, ELLA. M

My wife and I would like to share an extremely negative experience we have had, regarding Marina Davis and the Russian Summer camp “Palitra.”Our son had briefly attended the camp last summer, and we spoke with Ms. Davis last fall, asking if our son could earn SSL hours by volunteering at the camp this year.As the person in charge of the camp, Ms. Davis agreed, and confirmed that as a helper, he could attend at half-price tuition. However, after our son attended the camp for a week, we received a voicemail from another person, who said she was in charge of Ms. Davis. She stated that, due to changed circumstances, we must either pay full tuition (at a higher rate than quoted by Ms. Davis) or our son must quit the camp. These “changed circumstances” were not shared with us directly by Ms. Davis at any time prior to our getting this message, nor did she make any effort to honor her prior agreement. Instead, when we contacted her, she accused our son of not helping enough and of eating too much, and said she felt insulted at a question I had raised earlier (asking what foods were being served, because our son has some food allergies). Because she would not honor her earlier agreement, we were left in the near-impossible position (being unable to pay the new tuition) of trying to arrange for alternate care for our son on extremely short notice – my wife and I are both full-time employees, with a long commute, and cannot leave our son alone at home.
