I enrolled my then 3 year old at Little Maroons. On her first day, within her first three hours there I got a call that she had fallen backwards on a slide and had to be rushed to ER. She suffered a fractured and dislocated humerus bone and had to have surgery that night. To make matters worse, they had no insurance! They claimed it had lapsed that day. They did not offer to help cover any of the costs. So all that it takes a village community spirit went right out the window when I was left holding upwards of 20,000 in medical bills. My child was traumatized and in pain for weeks. I had to take a month off of work. And after that she didn't want to attend any school or daycare til the following year.
Little Maroons is for whole families! I loved being a part of the family there. Once a Little Maroon, always a Little Maroon. My child was well educated, safe, culturally supported, encouraged and inspired.
