Description:
Little Acorns trusted by thousands of parents since 1990 provides families with safe high-quality childcare for preschool, toddlers and infants in a nurturing and developmentally appropriate environment.
It is with our current public health reality and economic re-start in mind that Little Acorns is now expanding its services to all sectors of our society, supporting parents as they return to their offices and places of work with trusted childcare, giving each parent the peace of mind that comes from knowing their most valuable possessions-their children-are in the best of hands.
Little Acorn’s is Mississippi’s only privately-owned child-care center located downtown Jackson, Mississippi in the Dr. AH McCoy Federal Building. The only center to serve both federal and private parents.
Little Acorns is a modern, spacious, secure and safe facility: Open Monday-Friday 6:45-5:45. Little Acorns has low staff: child ratio’s, degreed early childhood teachers in all rooms, All teachers are certified in infant/child CPR and pediatric first aid. Little Acorns accredited by National Association Education of Young Children “NAEYC”.
The NAEYC Accreditation helps families recognize quality early learning programs and feel comfortable knowing that their children are receiving a high-quality, research-based education that will prepare them for future success. Every child deserves access to high-quality early learning experiences. NAEYC-accredited early learning programs are exceptionally well equipped and meticulously measured for indicators of quality in the classroom and beyond.
Little Acorn’s recognizes the difficulties parents face when their child first enters a childcare center. Many Centers often provide parents information and forms that are a necessity for all concerned and tell parents to “trust us”. Ashley Elmore, Little Acorns Center Director stated, “At Little Acorns we realize that “trust” cannot be a noun at this time, but a verb. Trust, like acorns, must be planted and cultivated in order to grow”.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
