Description:
At James Child Development Center, we promote the development of the total child. Our center is dedicated to providing a developmentally appropriate program for children from birth through thirteen years of age. Activities are planned to stimulate the social, emotional, physical and mental growth of each child. Each child's unique individuality and special needs are incorporated into program planning to help them develop to their fullest potential.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.

I only made it TWO WEEKS here with my child. I pulled him out in a heart beat when I just couldn't take it anymore. There are walk through areas that are very unorganized and cluttered which are unsafe environments. The school age room has a TV in it, and although I'm okay with the TV, the children are forced to watch the TV during certain times of the day such as after lunch (when school is out) and in the evenings an hour before closing. I would pick my child up at 5:40PM (they close at 6:30) and no centers were open except for the TV. The "teacher" sits at the front of the room and yells at the children sitting at the TV from across the large space. Also during the mornings and the evenings, the chairs are stacked upside down on the tables. My child was running around the room with both shoes untied and metal chair legs poking up. The "teachers" were very unprofessional and respond to behavior with time out as their first response. Also, I pulled up to the center to see one of his "teachers" smoking in front of the building and then she entered the kitchen. The owner, Mr. James doesn't seem like a joy to be around. The director, Dorothy, stays in her office for the most part, and the only two staff members that I actually liked was the assistant director, Ms. Jen, and one of the school age teachers, Ms. Stephanie. I have a degree in child care, I have worked in a top notch facility for over 3 years, and I know proper protocol, licensing regulations, and just plain common sense, and these people are working in a facility that needs a lot of work. I DO NOT RECOMMEND TAKING YOUR CHILD THERE.
This place is TERRIBLE. We recently moved here from MD .My son had multiple undocumented injuries (bite marks and bruising) with no explanation. He had to be picked up early due to fever, when picked up they said he just came in from outside. I asked why he was outside with a fever, no response... turns out he was DEHYDRATED. ( staff is 1st aid/cpr certified, and couldnt identify these symptoms). Mr.james, the guy in charge said there is no way a 2 year old could get dehydrated in 8 hours. He makes excuses for everything. The staff (most) have NO COMMON SENSE, despite the fact most had kids! I have picked him up with loaded diapers (both urine and feces), diaper rash, even though he had desitin there, and multiple times he chugged CUPS of water/juice in the car on the way home. I have dropped off and picked up and there was a TV on with the kids watching and staff doing nothing. The claim to be a development center but there is no evidence of "developing " not once did I get art, a project, picture, or even coloring page. (I'm a teacher) my son wouldn't nap thete, he would cry at the TURN to get to the road that the center is located, and be hysterical when I dropped him off. ( he had been to 2 previous daycare and never acted this way) I voiced my concerns to the teacher and mr. James and he dismissed me, made excuses , was condescending, and even kicked my son out because I voiced my concerns... we were in the process of moving him out, but we had to wait for him to be 2... DO NOT take your child here!!!
Very Poor Excuse For A Child Care Facility I Have Personally Have My Niece Go There And Have Had Many Friends That Took There Child They Left And So Have I They Are Uncooth My Child On Serveral Occations Came Home Dirty Pull-Ups The Dont Keep The Rooms Clean And I Can Tell You That The Owner Does Not Enforce It And If He Does He Does It To The Wrong People So If You Want Your Child Taken Care Of Properly Dont Take Your Child Here........
