Description: Greater East Syracuse Day Care Center, Inc. opened at 3212 James Street in 1973 to help meet the child care needs of families in Syracuse and the surrounding communities. The center originally accepted children ages 18 months through 12 years of age and eventually became known as "Honey Tree." In 1998, the center expanded to include infants. Our "Baby House" is located at 3218 James Street. The center is contracted with the Onondaga County Department of Social Services to provide subsidized care and also participates in the United Way Scholarship program through Child Care Solutions. We are licensed by the New York State Office of Children and Family Services to care for children between the ages of 6 weeks and 12 years old. The center serves three meals (breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snack) in accordance with the Child and Adult Food Care Program standards and guidelines. We offer programs designed to meet the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive needs of the children in our care.
Where possible, ChildcareCenter provides inspection reports as a service to families. This information is deemed reliable, but is not guaranteed. We encourage families to contact the daycare provider directly with any questions or concerns, as the provider may have already addressed some or all issues. Reports can also be verified with your local daycare licensing office.
