Description:
Regarding the aweful review that was put on here regarding my family daycare. That review was based on a 20 minute visit. They forgot to mention the kids have access to me entire 1st floor of my house and the older kids play space is because they play legos or magna tiles, or drawing and their iPad time they get. Also they didn't mention my yard is 90 ft long and fenced in with structures, they didn't mention that I put a changing pad on my leather couch when changing diapers because it's easier for me and I wash with antibacterial cleaner. The food I serve is per a food program i am a member of... So YES im going to defend my daycare of 32 years... I never ever have a problem looking for replacements when kids outgrow me... So im PROUD of my business I have grown for 32 years..

I am writing this in regards to the review that was put on here about the way I run my daycare. The family that came and toured my daycare was looking for a more structured run daycare for their toddler. I am PLAY BASED and it’s the way I have ran things for 32 years in business.. Children need to play. At my daycare we do crafts, outdoor time and play.. play all day aside from a quiet time to rest . I’m proud of the way I run my business and wouldn’t change it.. This family talked with me for maybe 1/2 hr. I’m defending my business..
Donna's space consists of a small 8x10 room for kids under 3, a slightly bigger room for kids older than 3, the dining room for meals and arts/crafts, and a small backyard for outdoor play. She changes diapers on the same couches kids sit on to watch television and movies. I asked her recommenders regarding how she runs the day care. The following day I got, " a couple of my (recs) sent me a txt regarding the conversations you had with them, about TV time, my space , meals and snacks I feed the children.. with all that said I don't think it would be a good fit here." So I can't ask people about how Donna runs her center, esp about whether she lets the television do a significant amount of her work for her and whether she provides nutritious food, without offending her? It appears that if you're ok with just trusting someone to keep your kid alive until you picked them up, then Donna's the person for you. Otherwise, heaven forbid you ask probing questions out of genuine concern for your child.
