WORST PLACE EVER!!! I'm not even sure where to start. We sent our kids to the summer camp and had some serious problems. It started in the beginning when kids were mean to our kids because they were "different'' (per the camp counselors)....meaning because they were white..out of 25 campers, 3 were white...2 of them were ours. At the end of camp, a child in the camp said to my child "I'm going to kill you. When I get bigger, I'm going to bring in a gun and shoot you". When my husband called the camp right away, she replied "well she IS only 5". Really? Only 5? That 6 year old brought a gun to school in TX and 3 people got injured. The next morning when he asked if the child was in yet and if anyone checked her and her siblings stuff, she again repeated "she's only 5, no we didn't check". So my husband called the cops.
We had a meeting with the owner who was as laid back as the front desk lady who took our call. She said that they didn't have something in place for a situation like this so they were looking into it. What do you have to look into? If that happened in school, the child would no longer be allowed back until investigation. Since the camp did nothing, we contacted Clayton police who reacted promptly....(mad kudos to Clayton Police).
Long in the short...DON'T send your kids there...
