At First Friends Preschool we offer early learning in a loving & nurturing environment.
First Friends Preschool operates under the Session of First Presbyterian Church, Dunedin. We are licensed by Pinellas County License Board for Children’s Centers and Family Day Care Homes under license #C620524.
The main objective of our program is to provide a positive and inclusive Christian atmosphere for all children. Based on the theory that children learn through play, we provide classroom routines that encourage active involvement, meaningful experimentation, and reinforcement through repetition. Our children have the opportunity to develop physically, intellectually, emotionally, socially and spiritually to their fullest potential.
Positive guidance techniques are used to enhance children’s feelings of self-worth. The daily schedule includes large and small group interaction, which helps children learn to cooperate and share self-selected activities. This stimulates growth and creativity as well as social-emotional development. The daily outdoor activities develop large and small motor skills. Nutritious snacks and learning experiences appropriate for the developmental age of each child are provided daily.
As caregivers and teachers of young children, the staff of First Friends Preschool is required to meet all state and local requirements.
