lack communication, lack care, staged bad behavior (my older child would tell me if they were lying and when they were telling the truth) write ups on my child because I spoke up and asked for meetings, then kicked my son out of daycare because they were leaving poop in his undwear and putting them in a zip lock bag when he would have an accident (their idea to start potty training. And that is putting VERY lightly. Do not put your child in the care of these "christians"
My Daughter has attended CCCW for over a 1yr now. I have only good things to say! Very caring teachers, that are committed to the children. She was in attendance the day there was a flood. The staff installed new carpet.(Never saw a cat or worms?) My daughter does come home with dirty clothes and I love it! It means she had a wonderful day playing..... I wouldnt send her to school in her sunday best to play with paints, or knowing they will be outside. Kids are suppose to get dirty. My daughter adores her teachers. We think of CCCW as part of our family!!!
When can we expect you–we will have your child and belongings packed and ready’. This is what I was told for addressing expired and sour milk being served to my 20 month old child recently. My children attended this center over the last year. The center should have experienced management and staff. The problems: Expired, sour & discolored milk was recently given to my child (morning of 4/17–expired 4/13). I addressed staff and firmly stated unacceptable and posed a health risk. I called the owner/director who said she hires young, inexperienced girls. They said childcare guidelines allow them to keep milk 4 days passed expiration. Although that is stated in the guidelines, regulations state they must follow USDA guidelines – no spoiled food. My son was terminated that afternoon with no advance notification. The director/owner was rarely there; it’s being run by young girls. There is a lack of communication and some staff are inexperienced. The owner/director said she is a ‘very busy person’ and it could take at least 24 hours before a call/email could be responded to; has other commitments in addition to the daycare center. The center emailed me stating my child was with fever; a phone call was made 1 hour 15 minutes later to say my child was sick, an email was sent, did I not receive it? (I accessed a computer immediately to find the email). Asked numerous times for saline to be administered to my child; notified 10 days later in email stating they need forms completed by doctor. Upon our departure, I learned for the last 2 months they administered saline twice. The instructions were not followed; the owner/director said their only staff members with medication certification work part-time. The staff in the infant room that were the primary care givers did not have medication certification but that one was going that weekend. The center was 54 degrees inside when I dropped off my children off one morning. (Saving a dollar was more important than a warm building for little ones). I observed 1” hard worms crawling on the large infant room floor recently. I picked up 6 worms and showed staff. Also observed was a large, night time bug that crawled out in front of me back in the fall (staff saw it too). Last fall, after the storm, the center closed due to the carpet and padding in the large infant room was soaked along with a cat had prior urinated on the carpet and walls-the smell was awful. The center opened for the infants that Friday. At pick-up, the smell was absolutely horrific, parents complained. The carpet was replaced. 8) I had issues with the prior director for yelling at my baby and putting him in timeout in the crib. My older son heard the yelling in the other room. We were told that it never happened and that my oldest was not telling the truth. A staff member after the fact did tell me it was true. The center is not equipped for older children. I was told my oldest child was untrustworthy and unchristianlike because he told a fib (he wanted to go outside with his baby brother to take a walk and I told him it was ok via text); they wrote him up along with other notes for behavior – this was intentional so we would take him out (and we did). The director/owner told my child “I am very, very sad you came to my daycare today” in a meeting without me. I tried unsuccessfully to talk with her that day after 5 phones calls to the center and waiting 30 minutes for her that afternoon-no call, no acknowledgement. My husband called from another line that evening and was told that the statement was not true. We just wanted to clear up a miscommunication, if it was that. Childcare guidelines were put in place by licensing; I did not make up those rules. I know no daycare can do exactly what I would do, but I never expected my baby to be served expired & spoiled milk, come home dirty, his clothes stained, and many other problems. Had I not personally observed these issues, I would’ve not had a reason to say anything.
