Description: Christ Church Preschool is a ministry of Christ Episcopal Church. Our desire is to love children by creating a joyful learning environment where they experience the grace of God.
Our preschool is inspired by the belief that children learn best when they are known and loved. Our philosophy of education combines the ideas of several different models with the primary model being High Scope. This means that we emphasize active learning through hands on experiences initiated by the child’s interest. Our preschool currently serves five refugee children from the International Rescue Committee. We look forward to expanding in September 2013 to additionally serve children ages 3 and 4 from Christ Episcopal Church and the greater Charlottesville area. It is our hope to create a community of understanding and compassion.
