About the Provider
Fostering children to become life long learners, Chester, Deep River, Essex Co-Operative Nursery School has remained true to its mission for over 60 years. Providing a safe and welcoming environment where young learners are provided with countless opportunities to explore, inquire and discover, CDE is committed to supporting children and their families.
The Co-Operative experience allows parents to become stakeholders in their child’s early learning setting. Ongoing communication and active participation supports positive interactions among parents, teachers and children.
Play is an essential part of early leaning. While your child engages in play he or she will be building cognitive and social pathways that are critical to academic achievement. Our center-based classroom is designed for optimal skill building in key developmental domains. Based on the hands-on theories of Piaget, Connecticut Early Learning and Development Principles, and Common Core Standards, our staff facilitates the development of skills designed to promote academic success.
