| Findings: When the Licensing Specialists arrived at the Center, it was easily observed that the "C-shaped" latch on the gate of the play area fence was not in the downward latched position. Neither one of the fence gates in the play area had the pad locks on them. During the inspection, it was discovered that one of the two gates (the one on the right as you walk outside of the building) in front of the building did not have a properly functioning latch. It should be self-latching, but the latch was not working properly at the time. Due to the location of the Center, all gates should be self-latching and self-closing to include the two play area gates. The Center is located close to Route 5, which is highly trafficked and at a section of the road where it intersects with another road with only a yield sign. This poses a significant risk if any child were to get out of either fenced area. | |||
