We began in April of 2008 as Building Blocks Child Development Ctr. to serve the llocal needs of providing Quality Childcare. In our efforts to develop these beautiful young minds to accelerated levels for entry into Kindergarten, we found that the need for continued Quality instruction was much needed as well. In 2013, we expanded our facility to a Private Academy, now serving families with students through the 10th grade! Our future plans for a new school facility will once again expand our offerings through High School graduation within the next two years. Our teachers are amazing and the philosophy of instruction is based upon individual student's SKILL levels in all subject areas, rather than an assigned GRADE level across the board, based simply upon their age. From the age of one, we strive to challenge children academically, while ensuring that they are socially and emotionally well-baanced.

My granddaughter went here for over 2 years. Never had any issues until they lost all their teachers and the owner took over the Pre-K class. I was receiving calls for almost 2 weeks straight about how bad she was being. The last day she was there I got from the owner Rick that I had to come pick her up because she kicked both owners. This was something she’s never done. So I ask to see the video leading up to her kicking them. I heard every excuse why they couldn’t show me it. Christine told me that her husband had the video up for me all day and that he had to leave early. I call the next week and talk to Rick and he tells me that he can’t find the video (yet another excuse). Weird because his wife told me he had it up the week before. Then he tells me that it doesn’t matter because I took my granddaughter out and she wasn’t going there anymore. Seems really suspicious that they had all kinds of excuses why I couldn’t see the video. I know something happened and that is why they are trying to cover it up. I’ve spoken to the police, DCF and the early learning coalition. Nobody can help me but if I can prevent this from happening to another child I’ll be happy. They are so fake and they’re bullies. That school should be shut down!
The is the best school both of my sons have ever attended! We have been there for the past 3 years or so. One of my sons is in pre-k and the other is 5th/6th grade.Taking my oldest son out of public school and into this private school was the best decision I have ever made!! Within 2 weeks of being enrolled in this school I saw an immediate difference in him! He is now a happy, thriving, honor roll student who is excited about going to school! He is not afraid to ask questions and be an active participant in the classroom. Building Futures Academy has changed our lives forever! I can't THANK YOU enough!
