Description: This is a five-day a week program designed to provide a ministry to parents by providing a place that they can leave their children and are cared for in a loving and supportive environment. The program provided for the children is developmentally sound and is designed to help them explore their interests and to provide them with an enriching experience. The Center ministers to the total child. It gives attention to their spiritual, physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs. These are emphasized and stressed in such a way that the child is being approached as a whole person. The program is an integral part of the total ministry of the First Baptist Church. It is to be a serving and ministering arm of the church. As such, it is to take into account certain basic factors of child development, family life, social settings, moral, and spiritual environment, which identify the conditions that enable a child to realize his or her, own God given potential.
