We are first time parents and after our daughter turned 14 months we decided it was time to look for a daycare (she was previously in my mother in-laws care). I work in North Dallas and live in between Azle and Boyd, so the options of daycare spread about 60 miles for us and we are happy with our choice in Pettit Private School. Our daughter is extremely attached to me, so drop off isn't always the easiest and the ladies always take my daughter from me and cuddle her to make her feel better, and have gone out of their way to call me to let me know that after a morning meltdown she was calm and playing with the other kids. My husband and I are also impressed that all the teachers there know who we are there to pick up - not just director or our kiddos teacher all of them. We have had a few "boo boo" reports since we have been there, but toddlers are going to bite, hit and push each other down & that will happen at any center. Just like parents can't stop every little "boo boo" neither can teachers, but I know they do their best. We get a daily report cards on her day each day and if our daughters teacher forgot to write something down she has texted me to let me after I have picked our kiddo up, she also sends pictures of our daughter when the center has parties/events, which all working moms love seeing their kids face throughout the day. PPS also has a low turnover rate which was important to me, I didn't want to walk in every week and see a new face as that would be confusing for the kids too. I truly believe the people at this center take childcare serious and love the kids they have in their care.
My grandson was enrolled here. They are very friendly when you first start! BUT on his second day there he got hit on the bridge of his nose by a walking toddler ( my grandson was barely 12 months at the time & not walking) he was bruised * had a gash with dryed blood on it when I picked him up & never in my 65 years have I ever encountered people who acted so nonchalant about an accident that could have easily put his eye out.1 lady watching 6 kids didn't know what happened because she wasn't in there I got the total run around. My husband went back in & ask what did he get hit with no one seemed to know. Needless to say my daughter & her husband did not take him back. They did go talk to them to ask why weren't they called or notified when this happened. They usually dont call they just tell whoever picks up the child. He went 2 days they paid for a month. This place is an ANGRY WOLF in SHEEP'S CLOTHING. I refuse to even give this place a 1 star rating.
