Description: The purpose of PEP is to reduce student absences and drop outs due to teen pregnancy and parenting responsibilities. The PEP program is designed to enable pregnant and school-age parents to become educated, self-sufficient, responsible, career oriented citizens. The PEP program also works to recover teen parents who have dropped out of school and who are still below the compulsory attendance age.

My daughter attended this day care while I was in school at North Shore. They treated her so well and I was never able to find a daycare like this one. I absolutely loved it. When I'd arrive after school, they were always doing my daughter's hair in little pig tails. The teachers treated the children so well and I loved each and every staff member. It was hard to leave the PEP center but it has been one of the reasons I have accomplished as much as I have in my life. I was 15 and had I not known about this program I probably would've dropped out of school to care for my daughter. Thankfully I did't with the help of everyone there at the center like Mrs. Liz Sparks and Mrs. Juanita. I am now 27, married, with 2 children and am a stay at home mom who is pursuing a teaching degree. I was never able to find a daycare like the PEP center and I will forever be grateful for the people there and for the encouragement they provided on a DAILY basis to all of us who went there.
I had the worst experience in High School & with my daughter attending this so called "day care" . First of all when I would arrive there after school I would find my daughter crying on the floor by herself while her teacher was cleaning. They would give her "tummy" time that she HATED and when my mom went to observe her through the dark glass she was crying like crazy , by herself and nobody did ANYTHING! When they would heat my daughter's bottles they would not close them right and all would spill on her. My daughter struggled to go to sleep & obviously that day care facility did not have the best teachers because they ended up making a meeting with me to tell me to find her another day care because my daughter "cried" too much and they didnt know what to do. Seriously? I was a 16 year old just trying to finish high school and they literally kicked us out. I struggled to find child care , I cried in school just because I knew my daughter waesnt well tooken care of. If anyone is looking to put their child here DONT. Oh I forgot to mention the newborn baby's teacher was rude and got mad at the kids for everything. Who's going to be comfortable in school knowing there child is there? Horrible horrible daycare. It doesnt even deserve 1 star.
