About Frog Pond: Located on two acres adjoining a beautiful wildlife park, Frog Pond provides an educational and nurturing environment for children from toddlerhood to school age. Every effort is made to accommodate children with special needs. Frog Pond is owned and operated by Mother Nurture Company, a nonprofit 501(c)(3) corporation dedicated to serving working families with young children.

Because of the nature of our program, our teachers spend a great deal of time outdoors, in all seasons and in all kinds of (safe) weather conditions. Teachers must be comfortable spending extended time outdoors, engaging with nature (getting messy and dirty indoors and out) and being with and occasionally caring for animals (goats, chickens, ducks and little creatures who we might bring into the classrooms for educational purposes and then release back to nature, e.g. insects, salamanders, turtles, etc.)

    About the Position:

Partner with Teaching Team Coordinator, Teachers and Teaching Assistants in providing overall management and supervision of mixed age groups. Ensure the teaching team provides a safe and nurturing environment for children, encouraging their social, emotional, physical, and intellectual development. Support developmentally appropriate curriculum according to guidelines established by Frog Pond. Ensure safety and supervision of children at all times by meeting the physical demands of the position. Provide primary care in the classroom, model exemplary behavior, and support for teaching team approach.

Learning and integrating Bev Bos and Coyote's Guide to Connecting with Nature approach into daily interactions.
Engaging and communicating constructively with individual children during activities and routines.
Taking every opportunity to positively extend children's thinking and actions.
Being attentive, flexible and supportive of children and their families during transitions to and from classrooms.
