This position provides support to the Lead Teacher in a variety of ways, including, but not limited to:
Assist the classroom teacher in preparing and implementing daily activities.
Feeding, diapering, and engaging with infants, toddlers and preschoolers.
Engage with children throughout the day and implement appropriate guidance techniques in line with classroom expectations.
Talk and listen to children respectfully during the activities and routines.
Assist the classroom teacher in maintaining a clean and safe classroom environment including sanitizing the classroom for the following day.
Assist in the distribution of classroom meals and support children in developing motor, cognitive and social skills.
Be alert and attentive to children at all times to ensure safety and proper supervision.
Smile and greet children and families and assist children in transition times.
Must be 18 years of age.
Candidates must be professional, reliable, patient, and nurturing. They must genuinely enjoy working with children and communicate well with coworkers. Experience in childcare setting preferred.
