Country Day Little School is interviewing for a Lead Teacher / Assistant Director to add our faculty.
Shared Responsibilities~
Ability to work with children a full day
Curriculum planning and implementation~ plan and carry out daily weekly and seasonal rhythms
Festival preparation and participation
Attend meetings as determined by director and teacher colleagues
Thorough communication and timely presence
Parent work ~parent/teacher conferences, parent education evenings,
Qualities:
Warm, joyful, present, and patient with children
Respectful, caring, and positive manner in working with parents
Confident and direct, yet sensitive communication with colleagues and parents
Ability to communicate needs, opinions and concerns in a respectful manner
Ability to balancing your work tasks while keeping in mind the needs of the full program
Excellent oral, written and communication skills
Country Day Little School is an 11 month program, We believe in order for teachers to teach in a caring and enthuasiastic way, they need time for themselves~ 10 WEEKS PAID VACATION!

Requirements:
~ BA along with early childhood course work and 3 years of experience or MA and 1 year of experience-Teacher
~ BA in ECE or related field teaching and Director or Asst. Director experience
~ California licensing preschool ECE credits/Site Supervisor Permit
~ Understanding of or experience teaching in a Waldorf program
~ Able to work 30-40 hours per week, meet physical demands of job (lifting up to 40 lbs, kneeling, bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, supervising children by sight and sound, etc.)
~ First Aid and CPR (can be completed after employment)
~ Comfortable with using an Apple computer
