Horizon Child Development Center is seeking a qualified individual with at least an Associates Degree in Education or related field for our Mentor location.
Responsibilities:
-Actively supervising the group
-Caring for the emotional and physical welfare, health, and safety of all the children
-Knowing ratios and how many children are in your group at all times
-Keeping the room organized into labeled centers
-Setting up centers and rotating materials according to the lesson plan
-Cleaning classroom
-Complete lesson plans weekly and align them to the contend standards
-Planning activities that encourage children to explore their interests
-Setting up centers in a way that allows learning to take place all day
-Incorporating music and movement daily
-Updating student portfolios weekly with photos, work samples, and notes
-Completing assessments
-Completing all assigned paperwork: food counts, time log, time card, attendance, behavior logs, incident reports

Must have 1 year experience working with children in a center. Must be flexible and punctual with strong classroom management skills. Must be a team player and a self starter. Experience working in a Step Up to Quality star rated center a plus.
