Can't say enough great things about this school. All three of my boys go there or have gone there. Highly recommend.
Regrettably, there isn't much that we can say about In His Image "daycare" that would be positive. If you are looking for a daycare where your children will have fun and you can be somewhat assured that they will be safe, you will probably be fine to pick this. However, if you are looking for a preschool that offers an age appropriate education along with solid Christian values (as evidenced by formal education and how the employees act) you may find that you will be disappointed. Some of the things we found in other schools that were lacking at IHS were:
parent/teacher conferences
parental involvement being welcomed
daily/weekly/monthly progress reports (we received none on our children during their year long stay at the school)
consistentcy in teachers within classrooms
healthy snacks (snacks were almost always crackers or cookies)
memorable Bible lessons-our children said that it was pretty much just singing during Chapel. Granted-this could have been their perception but they weren't getting much out of the lessons if they were happening
advancement in our childrens' learning-we now realize that they both fell behind during their time at this school
Now, all of this being said, to be fair, we liked the teachers our children had. However, we strongly believe that they were not given the tools, resources or support they needed to provide the best quality care AND education that our kids deserve. We regret our time at this school and hope that our honest feedback helps other parents make informed decisions about what they want for their children.
