Creative Curriculum and Core Knowledge are the two curriculum that we use in our preschool, and we teach these skills through fun, games, and hands-on learning experiences. At Carolina Prep, we believe in the extreme importance of music, art, physical education, and foreign language to the future learning success of children. Therefore, these classes are offered daily in the preschool and elementary school. The children at Carolina Prep have the opportunity to participate in extracurricular classes such as dance, martial arts, piano, violin, guitar, LEGO clubs, and more. By 1920, Greenville had grown out Augusta Road, past Grove Road, where the pavement ended. Augusta Circle School and the Greenville Country Club had been built, yet the area retained its rural atmosphere. Into this setting, Augusta Road Baptist Church was born from the hearts of members of two nearby churches: Greenville First Baptist and Pendleton Street Baptist. These churches held an organizational meeting in April 1924, organized the Sunday School on May 11, and held the first worship service on May 18. In September the church called her first pastor, Reverend M.L. Bannister.

For the last 10 years Nancy Abad, founder of Bumble Bee Daycare Center, has been committed to excellence in education as she seeks to develop the intellectual, artistic and moral potential of her young students. Mrs. Abad opened the first Bumble Bee Daycare in the Bronx in 2004 using her passion for nurturing talented youngsters and the help of her three daughters, the program was a success from the very start. Now Mrs. Abad has brought Bumble Bee Daycare to Greenville where she believes she can make difference in the lives of a her new community. Each day Bumble Bee Daycare uses the educational power of play to grow your child socially, emotionally, physically, and intellectually—all while having fun. Our passionate and engaging teachers grow, learn, and imagine with your child through an academic program that is demanding, rigorous, and thorough. We encourage our students to challenge themselves in innovative ways, so they can reach their highest potential in mind, body and spirit. We believe “curriculum” is everything that happens in the classroom, from interactions and meals to singing and playing. We provide a balance between choice and structured activities, between group and individual pursuits, and between teacher and child-directed experiences. We approach education in an interdisciplinary, experiential, and collaborative way, helping our students develop a lifelong passion for learning and an understanding of its relevance beyond the classroom. As ethical learning provides the foundation of all that we do, we emphasize our students’ moral development, and guide them towards service and social justice.

With the choice of the name, Legacy Academy for Children ®, we laid the groundwork for the mission and philosophy of our organization. Your children are your legacy, hence our motto "the perfect beginning for your legacy". From the beginning, quality early care and education has been our focus. Our name and trade identity are synonymous with the highest end of the spectrum of educational facilities for children. We focus on those aspects which leave parents with a feeling of confidence and pride in the choice they make to enroll their children. Legacy Academy, Inc. monitors and assists each individual franchisee so that a consistent look and feel of a positive, nurturing, environment is felt and recognized when parents visit any or all of our schools. We require all of our new franchisees to submit for accreditation with NAEYC by their third anniversary. NAEYC stands for the National Association for the Education of Young Children. It is an independent body based in Washington, DC which is widely recognized as the foremost authority in early childhood care in the country. All schools are given help and guidance with this process along with encouragement to keep achieving the best possible environment for children. Legacy Academy, Inc. has its own copyrighted curriculum, Framework for their Future ®. A team of early care and education experts created the curriculum specifically for Legacy Academy, Inc. and it is used in all of our schools. Each franchise is required to employ a curriculum coordinator who is on site at their school every day. The curriculum coordinator is there to monitor, instruct, and ensure that Framework for their Future ® is properly implemented and used in all classrooms. Monthly curriculum meetings are held at the corporate office to review all issues with curriculum. In closing, choosing Legacy means choosing to make a positive difference in the lives of children.
Little Folks of Fourth is licensed (#17,760) with the S.C. Dept. of Social Services and follows the guidelines set forth by the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC). The emphasis in our program is learning through play. We use a theme-based curriculum which revolves around children's literature emphasizing that it is the process, not the product, that is important. The activities include story time, music, cooking, craft projects and time for creative play. This is a chance for parents to have a break and for children to learn to play with other children. Our goal is to create a warm and loving environment to help each child become a happy, confident, independent individual.
