Little Discoverers STEM Academy is a year-round center that provide the Highest Quality Childcare and Educational Services that promote each child’s intellectual and social development. We expand children’s’ Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math skills by incorporating creative thinking, innovation, problem solving, and discovery through kids’ natural curiosity.

This is the worst day care in Akron. They are money hungry and rude. They do not care about the staff or children. One staff member gave her “god son” a spanking

Send your kids here unless you don’t mind them drinking expired milk, being in a dirty building (they only clean the toys once a week), being mistreated because the staff is incompetent and if you don’t mind them being sat in front of a tv all day.
This center is learning-focused!They have a great curriculum. My three children have attended this center for two years and they have learned alot. My kindergartner started school this year and tested very high and advance on his assessments. The staff is friendly and go out of their way to make you feel like family.
This center has raving reviews about how they teach children and how it's supposed to be a Christian based and/or ran center. I decided to give it a try and I was severely let down based on the reviews that were given. The staff is very mean to the children. My daughter told me the "lady in charge" yelled at her friends mother for asking about the bus. I've witnessed a teacher confront a parent after she asked for her child and told the teacher to please not talk to her. She continued to confront her. The curriculum when actually given to the children is great but the staff is very unprofessional and use it as a paycheck not because they enjoy doing it. They don't watch the children one almost got hit by a exiting vehicle while outside playing. Great curriculum poor staffing choice. The only person in that entire center I have seen personally care about the children is Mrs. Laverne I have since removed my child as I don't feel it's a safe environment.
My daughter and son have been at this daycare for over a year now and they have learned SO MUCH! They really teach the kids here and even give them homework. My son is going to Kindergartn this year and I know he is beyond ready. I have had some crazy experiences with daycares in Akron,most just watch my kids. But this daycare is really a school. The teachers are teaching here! The only thing i dont like about this center are the hours, I wish they were open later for second shift parents.
On Thursday august 13th I observed this daycare on a field trip to the quirk center playground in cuy falls.
The were two "teachers". One on her personal cell phone the whole time, the other sat on a bench with her back to the kids, also on her cell phone.
Neither "teacher" interacted with the kids in a nurturing manor. Both "teachers" were abrupt and mean to the children. The children could have wandered off or been abducted. No one would have noticed. The children were allowed to go in the building alone to use the restroom- no grown up or buddy system.
My heart broke for these children.
These are kids. Your staff needs to get their act together.
Great innovative child center that really teach and love on their kids.
