Description: Willoughby Montessori Day Schoolÿwas established on September 1, 1978. We first started as a preschool and quickly went on to become a day school, to include toddler and infant age children. As a school, we are committed to our parents, our children and ourselves as educators. We follow the American Montessori Society Code of Ethics, and we commit "ourselves professionally and personally in ways that will reflect our respect for each other and for the children we serve. We will do whatever is within our talents and capacity to protect the rights of each child to have the freedom and opportunity to develop his full potential." At Willoughby Montessori Day School we apply Dr. Montessori's theory of education to the preschool and day school setting. We are located in Willoughby, Ohio, on several acres of land, which makes it conducive to enclosed, safe outdoor play and exploration. During inclement weather, your children enjoy the large indoor rooms that we have to accommodate these circumstances.
