Description: Vansville Community Center is the first L.E.E.D. certified "green" community center in Prince George's County, and incorporates the latest in environmental design and construction methods. The center also has an active recycling program, and is heated and cooled using a geothermal collection system buried under the parking lot.
Vansville Community Center is one of several M-NCPPC centers connected to a public school, with shared use areas. The community center features a gymnasium, offices, fitness room, storage areas and restrooms. There is a tennis court and unlighted fields located onsite.
Recreation programs and classes offered at the center include sports, fitness, dance, music, reading skills, drop-in programs, after-school programs and cultural activities.
