Description: The Saint Demetrios Pre-School has been on the grounds of Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Church since September 1999. The Pre-School became a Day School with the addition of the Kindergarten Class beginning with the 2007-2008 school year. A non-profit school, the Saint Demetrios Greek Orthodox Bilingual Day School is a Ministry of the Church, is certified by the Maryland State Department of Education, the Child Care Administration and the Archdiocese of America. The non-profit school accepts children from age 2 years old (Mommy & Me Program) ages 3 through 4 years old (Pre-School Program) and ages 5-8 years of age (Elementary School). We believe in active learning in an Orthodox Christian centered environment which will ready the children to enter the next grade level and encourage them to be curious and excited about life long learning and discovery. Our program enriches and enhances spiritual growth, cultural, ethnic components of our Orthodox faith and the Greek Language.
