I have used this provider for more than 6 months

Small World has been a part of my 4yo son’s primary care since he turned 2, and they have been amazing. When we started, he had never been with anyone other than a family member and never for more than a few hours a day. As expected, he was clingy and not happy about being dropped off somewhere new. In a few short weeks, he managed for bond with a teacher and settle into the routine. As time passed, he began to demonstrate the effectiveness of their curriculum, and I was very impressed with how quickly he was picking things up. I believe it was due to the personal interactions between the students/children and the teachers. The owner and Assistant Director have always been open and honest in all their communications, and incredibly receptive to my concerns. My 7yo daughter attends during the summer with the School Age Children, and she continuously expresses her happiness with the staff. I am very pleased with the care that is being provided and have recommended this facility numerous times to co-workers and friends!

I have used this provider for less than 6 months

The owner has problems and I leave it at that. My child was well behaved. The owner was constantly in your personal business harassing, calling or confronting you asking personal questions actiing like a dictator.I heard she tries to find a reason to put certain kids out. It seems from several people I talked to. She only wanted a certain type of child there. Red flag kid there 1 mos.they had a virus outbreak and 2 weks later had a flu outbreak. The place is not properly sanitized. Witnessed teacher going up front talking about other teachers. This one should have been changing my 2 yr.old diaper. She was often wet during pickup diaper hanging as if she hadn't been changed all day. The final straw is the owner asking me to get my child checked and get a note. I did that not contagious and no fever according to doctor. I had previously advised owner and others of her condition. The owner wanted her to go back to doctor a week later and get a note which I did. The owner since she is an MD took it upon herself to take pictures of my child w/ o permission and took it to owners doctor to get another diagnosis. The owner calls me telling me this and I'm pissed beyond limits. It didn't stop there the owner calls my childs doctor trying to get information on her and get them to change her diagnosis. Owner tells me owner's doctor said this and she is contagious and I'm gonna call that doctor and tell her off for endangering these kids. I said, she is not contagious This us a sick person to gi through these extreme measures. My childs doctors office called me to say this owner wants information on your child. I told her we will be violating HIPPA. All I gonna say is be careful with your kids there. This lady has her own agenda. My child liked it there but I would not take her back there. She was only there a month. People and times have changed. I am so glad I am so observant. When owner sends me a letter saying, I understand you wanting to leave because Small World isn't for everyone. Be Careful Please!
