Description: WELCOME TO PITT COUNTY SCHOOLS! It is very exciting when a little one enters school for the first time. We are pleased that you have chosen us to be your child’s first school experience.
The family is the child’s first and most important teacher. We need to work together so that your child can get the most from his/her school experiences. We want you to be involved in what is happening at school. The preschool staff is committed to providing developmentally appropriate learning experiences for all students. Our goal is to provide experiences your preschooler needs to increase his/her communication, academic, and social skills. We want our preschool students to enter kindergarten well prepared for school success. We strive to provide a classroom environment where all students can feel successful and happy as they learn and grow. We are counting on your support in the months ahead. Together we can do so much!

A violation was found for which there is no item number. Clorox Disinfectant Wipes and Zeps Disinfectant wipes were observed in an unlocked closet in Space 107. These items must be kept in locked storage. This is a violation of Sanitation rule 15A NCAC 18A .2820 STORAGE (b) All corrosive agents, pesticides, bleaches, detergents, cleansers, polishes, any product which is under pressure in an aerosol dispenser, and any substance which may be hazardous to a child if ingested, inhaled, or handled shall be kept in its original container or in another labeled container, used according to the manufacturer’s instructions and stored in a locked storage room or cabinet when not in use. Locked storage rooms and cabinets shall include those which are unlocked with a combination, electronic or magnetic device, key, or equivalent locking device. These unlocking devices shall be kept out of the reach of a child and shall not be stored in the lock.

This is a violation of sanitation rule 15A NCAC 18A .2820 STORAGE (c) Non-aerosol sanitizing, disinfecting, and detergent solutions, hand sanitizers, and hand lotions shall be kept out of reach of children when not in use, but are not required to be in locked storage.

A 1/2 consumed bottle of Starbucks iced coffee was stored in the window sill of space 107. An open can of Rock Star Recovery Energy Drink was stored on the teachers desk in space 103.
