Findings: Complaint: There were 4 infants in care and 6 children ages 2 and above with the provider alone. Upon arrival to the home there were no children in care. This specialist observed attendance records indicating there is a maximum of 8 children in care, however some days (9/16/2019 and 9/17/2019) indicate there were 4 children in under the age of 2, not including the providers grandchild who lives in the home. Provider informed the number of children at one time may not exceed the capacity number stated on her certificate. (No more than 3 children under age 2 with a maximum capacity of 7) Provider thought it was okay to have four children under age 2 on the days when her grandchild is in his father's care and not at the house.

Findings: Complaint: The complainant states the provider had 10 children in care and 5 of them were infants. This specialist observed 6 children in care on today. This specialist observed 3 children in care that appeared to be under age 2 yet the provider stated one of the children in care was actually 2 in a half. The provider stated the child was a preemie and that is why he is so small. While this specialist was present at the providers home, this child was given a bottle, not to mention the child was nonverbal. After this specialist arrived to the home, the providers husband came into the home to grab one of the children in care that was under age 2, leaving the provider with two of the children that appeared to be under age 2. (One of them consisting of the preemie) Later after this specialist left the provider's home, the provider called this specialist back to state the child that she mentioned being a preemie was in fact under age two. This specialist informed the provider that it is very important that she follows the capacity listed on her registration to ensure the safety of each child in care. See Remarks.
