CURRICULUM Our children¿s programming is centered around getting kids excited about creating and all of the possibilities that it can bring to life. If you can tap into a child¿s passion and provide them the support and supplies they need, they¿ll often surprise themselves with what they can accomplish! It¿s all about having the freedom to explore and discover. Children find new ways of expressing themselves through projects that reveal and develop talents, building healthy self-regard and confidence, as well as developing creative thinking skills. We offer After School Art classes Mondays-Fridays for 5-11 year old's. Give your child a stimulating boost of creativity every week after school! We create a variety of projects and crafts that explore art concepts and develop creative skills and techniques. Snacks are provided and we accommodate food allergies. We pick up the children after school from SA and IAA and safely walk them to the Art Center. Children from other schools are welcome, but must be dropped off at the Center at 3:15pm. Pre Registration is required. We offer camps during early release days, school breaks and throughout the whole summer at the art center! Camps at the ONE Arts Center are focused on fun and all the different ways an artist can express themselves. We spend our time making art projects in a variety of media, practicing drama, dancing, playing organized games, having free imaginative play time, as well as visiting local parks. Each week of summer we offer different themed summer camps that embrace magic, imagination and self expression. We also offer Creativity Crew for 10-15 year old's on Thursdays from 5:30-7:30. Creativity Crew is designed for creative pre-teens and younger teens who want to explore a variety of arts and creative crafts. Each class will have a project based art or craft activity such as printmaking, hand-sewing, watercolor, etc. During the first half of each class, students will learn about a specific art medium, artist, or technique and will be encouraged to complete a project in that medium. In the second half of each class, students will be given choice time to work independently to explore and create in the manner of the evening focus or to explore other creative endeavors.
